CD: Michael Sweet - Truth
From: Doug   (---.) Date: July 2, 2024 at 23:02
Some of these songs do not even sound like Michael on vocals, like for example, the song, 'Truth.' Hmmm?
CD: 20/20 Blind - Never Far
From: Jeffrey   (---.hsd1.pa.comcast.net) Date: May 19, 2022 at 23:50
This band reminded me of Tesla when I first heard it, incredible first album with good vocals surrounded by very talented musicians to make it a solid release. Unfortunately 20/20 broke up after only 1 album, but some of the band members went on to form Atticus Finch to record another two albums. Almost 30 years later, it still holds up well.
CD: Steven Patrick - Red Reign
From: Arthur   (---.) Date: May 10, 2022 at 20:27
I love this record. Steven’s voice was at its best. Sean O’Donnell’s guitar playing is ferocious.
CD: Novella - One Big Sky
From: ADS   (---.) Date: January 12, 2022 at 8:09
20 years what the record labels are expecting to reprint this album ?
CD: Lex Rex - Beat the Heat
From: Kerrizzle   (---.msd.govt.nz) Date: September 10, 2021 at 3:56
First heard Lex Rex when I was working in a Christian Bookshop in Palmerston North, New Zealand in 1990. They struck me as being quite unique right down to the album cover in a style that I refer to as 'Blue Metal'. Their song 'My Lord' is a piece of acoustic blues rock genius!
CD: Crystavox - Crystavox
From: hair metalagain   (---.49.201.252.dsl.dyn.forthnet.gr) Date: July 27, 2021 at 7:51
excellent debut for CRYSTAVOX offering a commercial hard rock sound with Christian lyrics in the vein of bands like STRYPER,WHITECROSS or BLOODGOOD!'power games','home again','tough boys' are fine songs indeed!recommended
CD: Monomakh - Monomakh
From: jddqd   (---.) Date: July 23, 2021 at 20:09
Manomakh - classic heavy metal! The vocals are solid, such a high range, reminds at times of Bruce Dickinson, great band !
CD: REZ - Compact Favorites
From: Rich   (---.sktn.hsdb.sasknet.sk.ca) Date: July 14, 2021 at 9:38
Got this on cassette with a slightly different track list. Called 'The Main Event'
CD: Barren Cross - State of Control
From: hair metalagain   (---.1.146.140.dsl.dyn.forthnet.gr) Date: June 28, 2021 at 13:55
very good metal release for BARREN CROSS with a strong commercial edge that i so much love!great guitar riffs, strong vocals and big choruses will satisfy you as it did to me back in the day!'state of control','out of time','cryin over you','face in the dark' and 'hard lies' are fine songs indeed !love it
CD: Doxa - Send Me
From: Mikeinthemornin   (---.res.spectrum.com) Date: June 19, 2021 at 15:09
Why is Bernie Caulkins not credited here? He played bass for the band, early 90’s… He is the fourth guy in the photo….
CD: Leviticus - Setting Fire to the Earth
From: Auslander   (---.) Date: May 7, 2021 at 5:52
For the best of 1987 in Christian Hard Rock I thought about Trytan, Bloodgood or especially Jerusalem. But, instead for me it is the other Swedish group, Leviticus. Flames of Fire is a great anthem to kick off the record. But The Suffering Servant is the standout track. Leviticus do have that Scandinavian sound, but less keyboards than Jerusalem, so they sound harder. Terry is a great singer and Ez a brilliant bassist. They of course reappear as Jet Circus in the future. Grade A.
CD: Altar Boys - Gut Level Music
From: Auslander   (---.) Date: May 7, 2021 at 3:51
Christian market hard rock hit its glory years in 1986-1994. We will never see their like again. The Altar Boys burst onto the scene with GLM. It was their first 'label' release. This is my favourite album of the genre in 1986. You Are Loved is like heartland rock turned up to 11. GLM is as advertised. I Question It is slower but with hard talking lyrics. Unconditional Love is stadium rock. There Is a Love is Beatlesque. Life Begins at the Cross is anthemic. A great album. Rated A.
CD: Xalt - Under the Ruins
From: Wayne   (---.hsd1.il.comcast.net) Date: December 6, 2020 at 22:56
There is a bonus track on my CD copy called: 'Take A Look'
CD: Barren Cross - State of Control
From: Dudemetal1   (---.austincc.edu) Date: October 29, 2020 at 19:06
This is such a great album... my introduction to the band as I saw them play during their tour for this record.... I'll put it up against MANY of the more popular / secular releases of the time.
CD: Creed (USA) - Weathered
From: Doug   (---.) Date: October 14, 2020 at 16:34
Creed gets a bit heavier on this one.
CD: Creed (USA) - Greatest Hits
From: Doug   (---.) Date: October 14, 2020 at 16:33
If you like Creed, this will do it for you.
CD: Ruscha - Come Alive
From: Jeff S   (---.) Date: August 13, 2020 at 16:54
They crossed my mind recently and Come Alive is on Amazon Unlimited, so I got to have a listen. It's absolutely amazing that I remember every lick of their music after 30-odd years. Denton reminds me so much of Greg X Volz. I was a huge fan of Whiteheart, Petra, Rez Band, etc during that era.
CD: Seventh Angel - Lament for the Weary
From: David G.   (---.fixed.kpn.net) Date: July 14, 2020 at 17:48
‘Lament for the weary’ will be my personal favourite album ever. The sound, the atmosphere, everything is just incredible. Can’t get enough of it.
CD: Bride - Snake Eyes
From: Fundy   (---.) Date: May 8, 2020 at 19:19
Great album. Really pleased that they got this album done.
CD: Whitecross And Guardian - Revival
From: George   (---.res.spectrum.com) Date: April 30, 2020 at 16:15
C'mon... it doesn't get any better than Guardian and Whitecross (OK, maybe Bloodgood)! It's awesome to hear Rex ripping Guardian songs and Jamie ripping Whitecross songs. OK my brothers. I'll see you in heaven!
CD: DeGarmo and Key - Go to the Top
From: Harry   (---.neo.res.rr.com) Date: April 7, 2020 at 1:25
What can I say. Just one great album by D&K.
CD: David Benson - Holy Psychotherapy
From: Frank Z.   (---.hsd1.ca.comcast.net) Date: March 4, 2020 at 2:46
A short venture into the question of how a Christian metal Ozzy album might sound. While Benson's vocals are very good, and there are some great, catchy melodies, riffs, and breaks, the production and the depth/layering of the music is a bit lacking. The players seem solid enough, but they don't rise to the level of the better Ozzy and Sabbath albums (a lofty task, anyway). However, that doesn't stop HS from being a fun romp. It was more than enough to put a smile on my face. Like it. B-
CD: Ruscha - Come Alive
From: Karin   (---.) Date: February 3, 2020 at 0:18
I first saw this band perform at Praise in the Rockies in Estes Park,CO. I was hooked after the first song & spoke with them in German & invited them to dinner at the Dun Raven Italian restaurant. The entire band came along with some other folks who were here every year. I purchased their tape & wore it out. I recently heard my pastor say this scripture: The grass withers & the flowers fade but the word of God stands forever. Went on-line & listened to all the songs & was transported back in tim
CD: Armada - Hope of Glory

CD: Michael Sweet - Touched
From: Doug   (---.) Date: September 16, 2019 at 22:49
As always, great vocals, but the song selection is really (too) mellow.
CD: Stryper - God Damn Evil
From: Chris   (---.washdc.fios.verizon.net) Date: July 1, 2019 at 20:32
While Perry Richardson was announced as the band's new bassist prior to the album being recorded, he was unavailable to lay the bass tracks. The session bass player on this release is John O'Boyle, who has worked on some of Michael Sweet's more recent solo material.
CD: Last Adam - Tools for the Harvest
From: Alex   (---.sub-174-199-55.myvzw.com) Date: June 17, 2019 at 19:49
I might be a little biased because I play with guitarist Shawn Fitzgerald on a regular basis but I really have to say this album is outstanding. I’ve played with Shawn at my church for the past decade but had no idea this CD existed. My favorite song the 2nd one as sung by the drummer Don Musshorn. I can also say Shawn’s voice hasn’t changed much at all over the 30 years since this recording. My only complaint is they didn’t make any more recordings!
CD: Novella - One Big Sky
From: Lieguld   (---.) Date: May 7, 2019 at 17:59
Phenomenal album. Even in 2019, the musicianship holds up well. These guys were seriously underrated and now's the time to rekindle the fire that is Novella. Album Favorites: Fire Eyes, Do We Jjust Surrender. Hits: Running Home, Give Me Love
CD: Fear Not - Fear Not
From: LesleyAnn   (---.direcway.com) Date: April 29, 2019 at 5:10
A good friend turned me on to this album in the late 1990s. He liked Christian music, I loved heavy metal. I'm Christian, however, my love of music means no boundaries. This CD is still in the top drawer of my CD cabinet. As obsolete as CDs are today, this is and will remain a top shelf pick for me. It's a winner all around for music and vocals. And if you can FEEL your music, it's even better with the messages it gives. Would be nice if the local Christian stations had a copy. Fear Not ROCKS!!!
CD: Petra - No Doubt
From: Bidyut Bhuyan   (---.) Date: March 2, 2019 at 11:27
Very good cd with a modern sound, have this cd from a goodwill sale store long time back very cheap here, not typical sound of AOR like BEYOND BELIEF album but nonetheless great cd in my collection.Cheers from India!!
CD: Allies - Allies
From: Bidyut Bhuyan   (---.) Date: March 2, 2019 at 11:18
Excellent cd, great songs, bought this cd cheap (2011) edition here in India, the 1st song specially 'SURRENDER', i'm not a christian but i understand music is a religion, specially melodic rock/AOR.
CD: Matthew Ward - Armed and Dangerous
From: Eric   (---.evrt.wa.frontiernet.net) Date: February 17, 2019 at 0:41
I think I first heard this album when I was in junior high. Couldn't believe Christians rocked out like this! Probably haven't listened to this for 20 years. Just the other day I introduced my 16 and 13 year old sons to MW. They have a great appreciation for classic rock in particular. They haven't stopped listening to it since. MW actually ministered at a church my dad pastored in Zillah, WA in the early 70's as 2nd Ch of Acts. I was probably 3 or 4 yrs old, but I did meet him then :-)
CD: Shining Force - Shining Force

CD: Stryper - God Damn Evil
From: BOZ   (---.hsd1.va.comcast.net) Date: January 6, 2019 at 11:04
Stryper continues to ROCK Harder and Harder... for The Lord. And they don't back down from Words that Mean What They Say - in The Very Best Christian Way. Some people claim to be more 'christian' and put Stryper's songs and Words down, but Stryper Clearly understands the Important difference between milk drinkers and Meat Eaters... and don't let those milk drinkers hold them back from being True Rock Soldiers Under Command and Against the Law - For Christ.
CD: Sweet And Lynch - Unified
From: Doug   (---.) Date: January 3, 2019 at 14:26
I kind of feel like this album should be listed in Heavy Harmonies(?) Great band lineup, decent album
CD: Stryper - To Hell With the Devil
From: ThunderDan   (---.bstnma.fios.verizon.net) Date: January 3, 2019 at 0:47
This record is truly amazing! The primary reason being the song Honestly, which was my 8th Grade Class song in '88. The fact is, I didn't like the song at first (I even had the stones to tell that to Michael Sweet!) Now, Honestly means a lot to me! There are so many other great songs on here, it's so hard for me to pick ONE favorite. Essential!
CD: Barren Cross - Atomic Arena
From: ThunderDan   (---.bstnma.fios.verizon.net) Date: January 3, 2019 at 0:36
This is such a great record! Listening to the vinyl format with headphones is the way to go. Great hard rock music with subjects many other bands don't dare to tackle. I give these guys a lot of credit for that. On top of that, you get top-notch musicianship found from a short list of other bands. Grab this on any format you can find it! Awesome sounding band!
CD: Barren Cross - State of Control
From: ThunderDan   (---.bstnma.fios.verizon.net) Date: January 3, 2019 at 0:27
Love this release! Not many weak tracks on this record, which makes for a great listen. A little more commercial than Atomic Arena, but still keeps the edge they were known for. This is an essential album!

CD: Ruscha - Come Alive
From: Ronda   (---.sub-174-234-17.myvzw.com) Date: July 10, 2018 at 0:11
Listened to Come Alive. It was so anointed and filled with the Truth of God's Word (I did not know that back then) so I was able to quit drugs & alcohol without NA/AA meetings. I wanted the Holy Spirit more & more. The band came to Wichita, Ks...and was grateful for the experience. Thank u Peter & Nioolai. I Have been a worship leader for over 20 years now. Still listen to your CD and help others with addiction issues. Is it ok to email u Peter? Do u ever speak in churches? Ronda rtown@cox.net
CD: Allies - Long Way From Paradise
From: Steven Billings   (---.hnremote.net) Date: June 25, 2018 at 0:19
In 1989 Allies released their fourth studio album. Really hitting their stride, this album has more staying power than the previous projects; it sounds less dated to my ears. But more than that, this is the album where Allies really finds their musical identity. Bob Carlisle cuts cuts loose in a big way here with a slew of show-stoppers. The six studio albums by Allies can, in my opinion, be divided into to distinctive eras in the life of the group. This album is the beginning of the second era.
CD: Legacy (Ccm) - Legacy
From: Mongoose   (---.dynamic.hbci.com) Date: April 20, 2018 at 17:07
I know the cover is just basic, but I like the background color, with the sky effect, and just the simple font on their logo. Almost looks like a Jet flying in the sky. Am I just looking too hard?? Not a big deal, just wanted to point out 'why' because most else would be like 'really' ?????
CD: Legacy (Ccm) - Legacy
From: Mongoose   (---.dynamic.hbci.com) Date: April 20, 2018 at 17:04
Who knows anything about this band? Who do they sound like? Melodic Metal totally? Hooks or light AOR? Cool cover. I did some research, sounds like they were from the Midwest, South Dakota area? Anyone? Also, would LOVE to pick this up for my collection. Please, let me know if you got a CD OR a cassette for sale? Originals only. Also would be interested in any other merch...t-shirts, hats, stickers, patches, thong for the chick??? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Email me at; mongoose2225@gmail.com

CD: Fear Not - Fear Not
From: blucatbg   (---.) Date: February 6, 2018 at 12:51
I was raised in a christian household and was obsessed with this album as a kid. I now consider myself agnostic but rediscovered this album. I love it so much I can't listen to anything else right now!!!!!! Every song is compulsively listenable!!!! I wish I still had my cassette of this. Lucky for me an awesome person uploaded the full album to youtube. It's a great time to be alive!
CD: Bloodgood - Detonation

Great christian metal!. I really enjoy Bloodgood a lot.Les carlsen's voice remind me of all those great NWOBHM bands from the begining of the 80's.They deserved more recognition.
CD: Allies - Allies

CD: Xalt - History
From: PDC   (---.) Date: December 12, 2017 at 9:52
Great album. A step up from their first two. A more mature album, not generic heavy metal. Well worth getting.
CD: Xalt - Helium Blue Gazebo
From: PDC   (---.) Date: December 12, 2017 at 9:27
Very under-rated album. A diversity of songs, but still a lot of good guitar work. This is not a heavy metal album, but it is worth getting if you are okay with that.
CD: Allegiance - Hazardous

CD: Haven - Age Of Darkness
From: Michael   (---.cable.telstraclear.net) Date: July 11, 2017 at 21:01
This album is a heavy metal masterpiece. Proof that Christian heavy metal is as good as any secular heavy metal out there.
CD: Fear Not - Fear Not
From: Fear Not Fan   (---.austin.res.rr.com) Date: July 11, 2017 at 18:37
Hi Paul Worley, thanks for commenting! I just discovered your dad's band in 2017. I know right? Amazing. I sure wish he'd make another album. We all do. God bless him, and you, and everyone who supports Fear Not!

CD: Barren Cross - Rock for the King
From: Jimmy Barnes   (---.dhcp.wlwl.wa.charter.com) Date: March 5, 2017 at 11:55
I find it puzzling that the late Ronnie Montrose gets virtually no recognition for this great album. Heck, Wikipedia doesn't even acknowledge this work on his page. What gives?
CD: Deliverance - Learn
From: Morgan...   (---.sub-69-78-225.myvzw.com) Date: October 20, 2016 at 10:37
Call them what you will. One thing is for truth though, you cant say that they dont have have a passion for what they do or a love for our lord almighty. The first time i heard them their message instantly got me. Of all their music none holds dear to me than sanctuary, simply put'remember your sanctuary'!!!
CD: Angelica - Greatest Hits
From:   (---.) Date: August 15, 2016 at 18:20

CD: David Zaffiro - The Other Side
From: Scrawny Jonny   (---.tx.res.rr.com) Date: June 8, 2016 at 14:16
Christian metal with exceptional guitar solos! Even non-Christians can find this album to be an acceptable (yet obscure) rock record. It starts off charging hard to grab the listener's attention then mellows out as said listener gets settled. I rate it 7 out of 10
CD: Angelica - Greatest Hits
From: Soundzoff   (---.ph.ph.cox.net) Date: May 14, 2016 at 18:15
Great album, and my first introduction to the world of Christian metal. I have sweet memories of popping the cassette into my Sound Design boombox and jamming in my room. Had it blaring through my car deck too, haha. It was great spiritual encouragement as a teenager.
CD: Angelica - Rock, Stock, and Barrel
From: Harry   (---.mrcpl.lib.oh.us) Date: April 12, 2016 at 10:46
Just a great album! The first six songs on this CD are amazing. It's unfortunate that this Canadian band didn't get more attention in the music world. This CD can be bought online at a reasonable price. What can I say, this band is great!

From: Chtis   (---.statcan.ca) Date: January 14, 2016 at 9:19
Stumbled on them by accident (amazon sent me the wrong CD) but happily surprised and kept it. Very good band and vocals. King's X meet Extreme funky kind of hard rock. Worth it
CD: Fear Not - Fear Not
From: Paul worley   (---.tu.ok.cox.net) Date: December 23, 2015 at 19:23
I'm Paul Worley, my dad is the vocals and guitar player. And wrote all the lyrics. He's the best and everyone is just jealous of his amazing voice and there are reasons why they only made one cd, and the album picture is awesome. You don't know what creativity is if you disagree. And oh yeah The Lyrics, straight from his head, and very truthful, people be hating because they can't write lyrics and play the guitar and sing and produce all at the same time. My Dad is a blessing from God. The most
CD: Jacob's Dream - Jacob's Dream
From: Mark   (---.stmyga.broadband.dynamic.tds.net) Date: December 13, 2015 at 21:07
Perhaps best Christian metal album ever produced. Incredibly brace lyrics combined with Iron Maiden / Dream Theatre power.
CD: Allies - Man With a Mission
From: Paul Harrison   (---.sub-70-192-129.myvzw.com) Date: October 20, 2015 at 10:45
While a deep departure from previous recordings likely due to the maturity of Carlisle/Thomas and a whole new rhythm section, Man With A Mission is a solid recording. But it isn't representative Allies material. There are some good songs on here, like the haunting I'm Crying and the rocking Feather In Your Cap. The rest of the album is good to alright, but it won't go down in history as one of their best.
CD: Allies - Long Way From Paradise
From: Paul Harrison   (---.sub-70-192-129.myvzw.com) Date: October 20, 2015 at 10:33
This is a great album, but definitely not their best. There are some fantastic tracks on here like the title track, Devil Is a Liar and the remake to Crying In The Chapel, but the rest of the CD is too inconsistent, albeit containing awesomely crafted songs. I still think Virtues and Shoulder To Shoulders rank at their best. Those two albums combined represent my most favorite collections of Allies songs... and very consistent tunes....
CD: Shout - Shout Back

Great cd
CD: Atomic Opera - Alpha and Oranges
From: Scrawny Jonny   (---.tx.res.rr.com) Date: September 29, 2015 at 22:39
While it isn't as catchy as For Madmen Only, this disc offers up similar offerings. That makes sense when it's realized this album is made up of polished demos that never made the debut album's final cut. CD starts off with hard-rocking vigor, declines briefly in the middle, and ends decently. I give it 7 out of 11
CD: Atomic Opera - For Madmen Only
From: Scrawny Jonny   (---.tx.res.rr.com) Date: September 29, 2015 at 22:34
Saw the music vid on YouTube, and was instantly hooked. Bought the album, and still enjoy it. Most of the songs are strong, melodic prog metal tracks (Joyride, Justice, I Know Better, War Drum) however there are a couple that I feel are let downs (Achilles Heel, New Dreams). I'd give it a respectable 8 out of 11
CD: Armageddon - The Money Mask
From: Ty   (---.zoominternet.net) Date: August 31, 2015 at 11:20
Hard-hitting, classic heavy metal, Armageddon's 'The Money Mask' has it ALL: powerful, soaring vocals; a pounding rhythm section; a double guitar attack that commands your attention; and a great Christian message that is obvious, but shouldn't have non-believers feeling like they're getting the Bible rammed down their throat! Armor up, Christian Warriors, and remember: 'We're more than conquerors!!!' A very talented band, and a powerful Christian metal album, indeed!!!

Saw LoveWar many years ago with good friends! LoveWar rocked hard and and came across rather professional in concert, proving this debut album was no fluke! I wouldn't be surprised if LoveWar did NOT have to do very many re-takes in the studio! A very talented band!

In the end, Hammer And Nail is a classic from start to finish. My personal favorite Whitecross album which introduced me to a stellar band with an amazing talent and love for Jesus Christ!

Hammer And Nail ends with a fresh sounding up beat tempo song ' Top Of The World'. Ends the album with a great happy feeling. What is amazing to me is that although little lead guitar is present on the track it still keeps your interest from start to finish.

Then comes ' Living In A Lost World '. The song only has one flaw, the chorus and rhythm in the chorus. Nothing else at all is wrong with the song. Just a weak chorus. On the High Gear album there is a song ' I'm Gonna Keep On ' and on that song too it had a weak part. ON that song its the opening verse that is soooo boring, but then rocks up and gets interesting. Like ' I'm Gonna Keep On ' ' Living In A Lost World ' isn't a bad song. It just has a less than perfect part in it.

' Resist Him ' is one of those songs that I actually enjoy more today than I did when I heard it in the 80's. Its not like I didn't like ' Resist Him ', it just sounds better today somehow. Plus, the lyrics are about resisting the Devil and that's the real battle isn't it. Bringing every thought under submission. Man, what a message, what a song. Rex of course shreds as always. Throughout the entire song he just keeps shredding.

Then there is ' Walk With Me '. Honestly, its a good ballad. Its the best ballad before ' In The Kingdom '. The there comes ' Because Of Jesus '. ' Because Of Jesus ' is hands down my favorite Whitecross song. The lyrics are bold and true, the guitars are amazing! There is so much that I could say about this song. I could never do this song credit with words. Then comes ' When The Clock Strikes '. As a teen I thought this song was the longest song ever, lol, but good! The bells were so long.

' Hammer And Nail ' the song is one of the most underrated works of art. ' Nagasake ' was a pure shred fest. ' Hammer And Nail ' is the same but more musical/classical sounding. I like ' Hammer And Nail ' even more than the stellar ' The Eternal Fire ' and that is saying a lot. Then the album moves right into another shred fest track, ' Take It To The Limit '. this track still blows me away! Any possible place Rex can shred at in the song he is. Whats even better is that it sounds normal.

' Living On The Edge ' is the perfect opener song. The guitar slide is stellar and unique. I don't think that there is another intro to any metal song out there. Rex can honestly lay it for hours and it would never get boring, ever. Very crunchy sounding. ' When The Walls Tumble Down ' is another unbelievable track. The rhythm guitars are so addictively catchy. Some say its AC/DCish. I don't think so but it doesn't matter cause its stellar. Some of Rex's best rhythms are found on this album.

Hammer And Nail is the first exposure that I had with Whitecross. Only after I heard Hammer And Nail was I able to go back and discover their first album. Hammer And Nail is still my favorite Whitecross album, although I cherish every pre-unveiled album. Scott's vocals sound absolutely perfect on this album. Songs like 'Resist Him' couldn't be sung by any other vocalist and sound so meaningful. 'Because Of Jesus' is another one of those no other vocalist could pull this off equally.

Whitecross' debut is stellar! The vocals are raw yet sweet! Scott is a top notch underrated vocalist. Rex's guitars need no introduction except to say 'shredtacullar'! As for the songs they all are very good! 'Enough Is Enough' is a pure metal hit and had the same song had been released by an secular band it would've went high on the charts. 'Looking For A Reason' also just as catchy. The chords, melodies and solos are outstanding. Then there is 'Nagaske' and all I can say is wow!
CD: Stryper - Against the Law
From: Barry   (---.pr.navy.mil) Date: August 17, 2015 at 12:27
Nice old thread! Anyways, yeah, I don't really like their music but I've always respected Stryper. The songs on this album were very honest, human, personal, but the Christian point of view was there still. I thought it was funny the way some fellow Christians reacted to it, though. Nowadays they're back to more openly Christian lyrics, but they have matured and I don't really call them glam. They're just a good rock band with faith-based lyrics, which is cool.

My band One Faith opened up for these guys at Splash Town back in the mid-nineties. I loved their album and have been hoping to find it or at least on a streaming music service. No luck so far though.

A return to top form from Stryper and easily the best CD of 2013. Michael Sweet's vocals are stronger than ever, and Oz Fox's guitar work really shines on this release. If you have not checked this one out yet, I urge you to please do so. You will NOT be disappointed.
CD: Matthew Ward - Toward Eternity
From: tim   (---.satx.res.rr.com) Date: February 23, 2015 at 23:37
Matthew Ward is the Fender Strat of all voices...his voice is absolutely electric. To hear him through the big speakers is an awe taking experience; a woodwind sound with touches of crystal like resonance...a combo I have never heard before. Simply the best voice of the past 40 years. Steve Perry and Matthew Ward in a league of their own.

SicSkinz1 3 years ago Ummm, not entirely true. Arsenal DID start with JD Miller and Chritine Steel. After JD left the band, he was replaced by Brien DeChristopher who entirely changed the sound of the band. The band continued as Arsenal for about seven years doing numerous shows around Florida. They changed the name to PeaceChild in just prior to disbanding in the late '90s. Brien now plays all lead and rhythm guitars for Agents Of Chaos.
