The motley crue of christian rock, and I agree with Darren, so sad they broke up. Steelheart is pretty awesome, but no comparison.Grab this one if you can find it.

What an awesome album. This was one of my favorites when it first came out and I waited, in vain, for a follow-up. I hear that they had label-problems. However, they had a great sound and while some of the songs have lame lyrics (rock for the rock), the music and vocals are awesome. There is not a bad track on the entire album. If these guys had stayed together, they could have been big.

The opening hook on "Reason to Rock" is one of the great guitar intros of all time, in my opinion. This album is 100% solid, not one lame track in the bunch. I still play it regular and loud, just as I have since I bought the vinyl in'89 at the Ark Christian Bookstore in Denver, CO. "Are You Ready for Thunder" excellent drum tracks, "Don't Give Up" is a great song of encouragement.

One word: CLASSIC! I paid $30 to get this CD and it was worth every penny. I wouldn't classify RoA as "Glam Metal", though -- they're much more in the mold of early '90's hard rock. Every song's a keeper, although the titles are somewhat repetitive ("Reason to Rock"/"Rock for the Rock"; "It's Not Late for Love"/"Do You Still Believe in Love?") Vocals are great; guitarwork top notch. I venture that this group's only CD is more mature than Stryper's later stuff!

The song I really heard of is "Do You Still Believe In Love". It rocks! I'm listening to it now on the net. I wish I had this album tho.

What an awesome album! Get this CD if you can find it. I had one years ago and sold it, but recently got a new one for $20 and it was totally worth it. This album is just as good, if not better, than any other 80's hair band, Christian or secular.

If you liked the hair/glam/pop metal sound of the late 80's feast your ears on this piece of candy. This is one of the finest records of that genre.

ROCKS! Was my favorite band for years, I wore out the cassette, wish I had it on CD. Only two songs would I consider cheesy lyrically, but I never FFWDed them because the musicianship was so good. Too bad they found the christian music industry so money hungry (which is why they broke up - or so I heard)

Easily one of the best Christian metal albums ever! Dan Mariano's vocals are AMAZING! Picture Sebastian Bach meets Vince Neil, and it gives you some idea of his sound. Dan, if you're reading this, please email me at iankeithhafner@provide.net I really would like to ask you a few questions - thanks!

Fast-paced ripping hair metal (which I seldom can say about hair metal bands). Just about every song on here is great!

So many times I was disappointed as a Christian Metal listener. The hype surrounding a group was so many times not merited. This album is not one of those times.WOW! what a great album.Slick with an edge and vocals to make secular singers jealous.Hit, no miss here.

I was surprised at this one. From the reviews I thought this was going to be a 10 but I would have to give this a 7-8 at most. Just not the heavy metal CD I thought it was going to be, especially for what I paid for it. Anyway, not a bad CD but not the best I have in my collection.

Classic Christian "hair metal" all the way! No "pop fluff" and no sappy ballads to have you pushing the "skip" button on your CD player. A very talented band, Dan Mariano sings hard rock as good as anyone on the planet--and with all the "attitude" this style of music demands! Have fun praising JESUS with this one, and BLAST IT!!!

Great-sounding group. One of the best in melodic-metal. Should have been bigger than Stryper. Best songs are "Do You Still Believe in Love" & "Don't Give Up".
