straight out of a comic book, these guys can be taken one of two ways: a bit of fun or total cheese. I think there is actually a little of both. The music isn't bad, other than the horrid pop-punk single Walmart Girl. Otherwise the music is more in line with bands like Dokken, Whitecross or Eden. The lyrics are bold but also very basic and a bit too simplistic. ei. 'The battle has started, there's no other way, the battle has started, make Jesus Lord today'. The entire CD is similar to this.

I bought it after looking at the strong CD cover. It got my attention. I listened to it and was impressed. I like Dokken. I feel they pick up where Dokken left off. Plus I checked the CMRAdio.net charts to see if any of their songs are charted. That tune, 'I Want A Walmart Girl' that you dissed is the 2nd top requested song, so I guess you can't win them all. I suggest you buy this CD! Thanks

Strong CD cover? LOL! The CD cover looks ridiculous. HORRENDOUS GRAPHICS! Oh yes, and we all know that songs that chart are GREAT! NOT! This album doesn't even come close to the greatness of Dokken. Even Jesse's review was far to kind. This is PURE CHEDDAR CHEESE! Put your money on the REAL WARRIOR; Joe Floyd's Warrior! This Warrior is nothing more than a generic fake.

Don't listen to Mr. 'Realmetal!' Warrior ROCKS! They've brought fun and bombast back to metal! Check out my interview with their vocalist/guitarist Tad Donley at http://www.christianmetalmayhem.com!

I think some of the songs have potential but they aren't all that great. Maybe the next album will be better. This is just good fun time metal but nothing spectacular. I think the band should change their name since another band named Warrior has existed much longer. I agree that the 'look' is a bit on the cheesy side and they should drop the makeup bit.

Warrior play a style that is a throwback to the early 80's reminding me of band's like Whitecross, Messiah Prophet and Dokken. I would describe their music as happy, catchy, poppy, preachy, heavy metal. Walmart Girl is the one exception as this song is more modern pop-punk. 'Cry As One' is one of the strongest and heaviest songs on the disc and sports crunchy guitars and a catchy pop-metal hook. Full review at: www.nolifetilmetal.com/warrior2.htm

This is a very good album but I think it could be better, it has excellent songs like Cry As One, My Little Runaway and I Can't Be Alone, with more songs like this ones, this album will be much better. I Want a Walmart Girl is a very good song too but in a different style.

I can tell some of you actually BOUGHT the CD. The other guys (realmetal - original name)never did. real metal just saw the cover along with Jesse and talked out their a... By the WAY -this Warrior has been around since 1985. Canada's WARRIOR in twenty years has put out only 4 CD's. Now what's up with that? Let's bow down to the porcelin god and give it up for Jesse and realmetal who wasn't real about paying for a WARRIOR CD.....

April 9th, 2006. Bought the album, and I was impressed. The songs have a positive, hook-laden progressive 80's feel that changed how I was feeling by the time the CD ended. I was inspired and charged after hearing it. I recommend it to anyone who likes radio type rock, not the heavy metal that never gets airplay. I want A Walmart Girl is definitely a hit. I bought the CD on www.outboundmusic.com/Warrior . I recommend you get your copy. Thanks.

Tad and I are about to get together and make some damn racket! I met with him and we are teaming up on guitars and going to strip paint from the walls. The next version of this band will absolutely SMOKE guaranteed. I played lead guitar for Street Ready for a decade and change and we always had blowin' material. The two of us should come up with some slammin' stuff so hang on people!
