Another decent melodic metal release from Joshua. Frankly I prefer Intense Defense slightly to this one, however, both are quite good. Jeff Fenholt handles the vocals commendably here. This album has been rereleased with no less than five different covers.

Very good album, great guitars and good melodies. Every song is good but my favorites are Surrender Love, Hold On and Back to the Rock.

Another two great songs are Loveshock and Show Me The Way (this song doesn't appear in the list above).

Surrender was my baptism into hard rock. Joshua is the greatest of all Christian rock bands, in my opinion. Surrender has perfect songs that I can't get out of my head. Jeff Fenholt has the most powerful rock voice I have ever heard. The guitar is on fire with songs like 'Hold On', 'Rockin the World', 'Surrender Love', 'Back to the Rock', 'Your Love is Gone', 'Heart Full of Soul', and 'Loveshock'. Though I love all 5 of this bands albums, this one is special to me. A must buy if you love melody!

Great melodic hard rock album- and one of the only places you can hear Jeff Fenholt singing rock, so it has good historical value. Uplifting lyrics, virtuoso guitars, catchy melodies, huge vocals- all around classy eighties hard rock production!
