Does anyone have this cd? Email me at johnrob2@aol.com. Christian Death metal is very hard to come by where I live. The only cd I ever see in the music stores is Disciple's - Back Again album, so I download music and use friends to get free pirates. I'm hoping someone can burn this cd for me, or send it to me in emails.

A brilliant CD! One of the finest death metal CDs ever. Blast beats abound, heavy, downtuned, fast, chaotic, technical, just an all over great release. Mortification could never break free from their roots and their love for thrash & classic metal still showed through the D-tuned madness. Still frequents my CD player over a decade later.

This one is good, but I like their second record named Mortification. Brutal Praising!

Hey Y'all i am a new christian and i use to be into bands like slayer, pantera, sepultura, and any thing else that would surely lead me down the path of damnation. I was just recently turned on to mortification, and to hear there message of how they truly do praise the lord. makes me even more of a fan i dont at the present time own any but i will be looking for it.

Mortification rules!!! I just got 'scrolls' and it is straight up brutal. If you are a fan of cannibal corpse or morbid angel get scrolls of the megilloth by mortification. Its how death metal should be done!!!!

What do they sound most like? I'm kinda into Tampa metal right now, like Morbid Angel, I'm a big fan of them. Anyone want to compare it to other bands (without focusing on lyrics alone, someone tell me about the music.)

Does anyone no of a band that sounds anything like Bolt Thrower?
From: jesse   (---.) Date: February 15, 2008 at 9:44

From: Stender   (---.nas3.eugene1.or.us.da.qwest.net) Date: February 16, 2008 at 0:04
Thanks Jesse, I read up on Groms and it sounds like they only put out a demo and one album 'Acension'. Do you know where I might be able to pick up a copy of either one of those?
From: jesse   (---.) Date: February 18, 2008 at 9:48
check nordicmission.net. Ebay might be your best shot. I think it might be out of print. You might also enjoy the new Discern. I read a review on nolifetilmetal.com that seems to suggest it has an old school death metal vibe. blastbeats.com has it in stock.

Great One here...not their best but still a good one...

Can't stand this band, yet I bough the albums just to support a death metal christian band. I really dont hear the music in this.
From: Cadaveron   (---.dsl.rcfril.sbcglobal.net) Date: June 2, 2010 at 23:46
True classic!!! Although many 'purists' may not like the guitar tone on this album, I love it. It's like nothing I've heard before or since. Buzzsaw-ish and somewhat weak, i feel this tone contributes to the dark sound and feel of the album. I also love Jayson's vocal input here. Though certainly not one of the heaviest, I still consider this one of the creepiest sounding death metal albums of all time.
