If you all havent heard extols newest 'synergy' then yer missing out !!! i hadnt heard anything by them 'till i picked up this lil' beauty, and boy howdy am i glad i did !! I know there are some out there who would most likely question the 'christian-ness' of this type music..but....to them i would say.....dont buy the album, then !!! i had to read the lyrics on this one myself..but after doing so...i'm convinced...these guys are outstanding !! if you like your tunes to rock..hard..here it is !!

I've never heard of 'Death Metal/Christian Rock?' Oh the irony.
From: Scott   (---.) Date: November 30, 2004 at 13:37
If you've not heard it, then you are depriving yourself. Nothing ironic about Christian death metal at all. As a matter of fact, the stories of the Bible are pretty darn brutal. The flogging and murder of Jesus is one of the most brutal acts of death ever, yet at the same time one of the most passionate stories of love. Sounds like a great message for brutal music. Extol rule!

Why is Extol listed as an american band? :P
From: Joe-metal   (---.domain.tld) Date: March 11, 2005 at 11:36
I just recently got UNDEICEVED by Extol and it was one of the most original Death metal albums I have ever heard. I strongly recommend this CD to anyone who use to like Cradle of filth or Dimmu borgir

This is probably the most technical Black (it's not Death)Metal album in the world. Extol is unparraled by any other Technical band on the planet. A must for metalheads that love fast, technical, sometimes malodic Black metal! I good choice for someone just to learn from, too. Go out and buy this at blastbeats.com, radrockers.com, ultimatum.com, or anywhere else you can find it!

could i have a song that i can listen to thats really heavy.
From: Joel Goodwin   (---.proxy.aol.com) Date: August 23, 2006 at 1:06
This is some really great music... a couple of songs sound a little simular to each other because of the technical intros then the more mellow grooves immediatly following, but this is about the closest that Christian music will get to a group that rivaled both Dream Theater AND Dimmu Borgir at the same time without losing it's originality.

By the way, Ole Borud is a beast @ writing, singing, and playing guitar, as with the rest of the band with their respective duties. As a prog keyboardist myself that doubles up as Death Metal enthusiast, this is inspiration to the fullest for the music I write and perform!

in norway ole börud startet singing christian songs whit his family when he was around 5 years old and they gave out many family albums, my kids love em. Ole was a national idol, you could here his songs on every radio channel and he was on tv all the time ca 15 years ago. Funny i loved his music as a child and stil love it. check out his newest solo record really goooood

Responding to Joe-metals comment above about Becoming the Archetype, yeah dude their rad and I submitted them for this site like 5 weeks ago but are still not listed. If anybody hasnt heard them yet their first record 'Terminate Damnination' sounds like secular acts like Bury your Dead but their sophmore album is more metalcorish. The first is my favorate.
