By far Deliverance's best album, the guitar riffs sound similar to early Metallica, and the lyrics are incredible, also check out deliverance's first album deliverance, it too is awesome.

If you don't have this one, GET IT! 'nuff said

Definitely the band's hallmark project. 'Solitude' and '23' are two of my favorites. My kids have used 'Prelude' for an effective human video (in church no less). The video for the title track is one of my alltime favorite Music Vids. This one rocks hard and shares hard truth.

Hands down, this one's the Big D's best album. Jimmy Brown and George Ochoa were the rulers of 'guitar shred' on this one! I've heard this one called the 'Ride The Lightning' of the Christian metal movement, and I agree!

One of Christian metal's best! Undoubtedly Deliverance is a pillar in christian music's history. Thanks guys!

This is another great Metal Album. Deliverance (their first) is a little better but this is still one of the best Thrash/Speed Metal ever. Great Rythms, leads. Sadly this was their last real Thrash album. I dont like their style after this one. But Weapons Of Our Warfare is a must for everyone who's into Metal!

Another classic metal album from Deliverance. By far their most popular. kevensyle@netscape.net.

Awesome album. Great opener SUPPLICATION, awesome title track and a lot of great heavy metal/speed metal song. Must have for a Christian metal fan!

'Weapons of our Warfare' is a speed metal classic that is, in my opinion, unbeaten by any other Deliverance CD! Almost every track on this disc is played with a fast and furious attitude and the song writing is outstanding. Songs like 'Slay the Wicked' are absolutely fierce. Jimmy Brown proving that he can sing, and scream, with the best of the power metal or speed metal genre. My personal favorite songs are 'This Present Darkness,' 'Flesh & Blood,' 'Slay the Wicked' and 'Greetings of Death'.

More fantastic speed metal from the masters of the genre. Cool solo section of This Present Darkness where Jimmy and George trade solos. Solitude slays! Flesh and Blood has one of the coolest riffs ever written and also slays. Oh good grief, just get this one. It's AWESOME! Favorite tracks: This Present Darkness, Weapons of Our Warfare, Solitude, Flesh and Blood.

This album is great... I mean... Deliverance is one of Christian Metal's best... Along with Stryper... But I'm into all types of metal music... I'm sort of leaning towards Melodic Metal now... if anyone could tell me any other Christian Metal bands that sound somewhat melodic (referring to bands that sound like Symphony X, Rhapsody, Stratovarius, etc.), besides Stryper, because that's as close as I came to finding a melodic Christian metal band. But if anyone can give me a few, thanks. Ryan.

Ryan: Seventh Avenue is melodic German power metal, and I've heard them compared to those bands you mentioned along with Gamma Ray. I don't listen to secular metal, so I couldn't tell you for sure, but I know their style and I have their Between The Worlds album. If you want awesome melodic Euro power metal definitely pick that one up. You can get it for a decent price at www.blastbeats.com.

Yes Deliverance is an awesome band, and I have had the pleasure of playing on the same stage. Jimmy and I are freinds now, and his music is bad to the bone. Check out my band at: www.eternityministry.org we are Shining Force

Oh man, this album rocks! The title track, This Present Darkness, Flesh and Blood, Greetings of Death, and Slay the Wicked are my favorite songs on this utter masterpiece! Oh, and Ryan, if you're looking for a good melodic metal band, check out Barren Cross.

One of the best metal albums of all time---secular or Christian. Each song has it's own very unique tune, and the entire rocks probably harder than any other metal album I've ever heard.

THIS BAND MADE ME RETHINK MY LIFESTYLE, I WAS ALL ABOUT SATAN THEY ROCK HARD AND DELIVER A POWERFULL MESSAGE TO A WORLD NOT SEEN BY THE COMMON CHRISTAN

Oh man, this album rocks! From the dueling solos of 'This Present Darkness', the crushing guitar riffs of 'Weapons of Our Warfare', the 7:27 epic song that is 'Flesh and Blood', and the blazing speed of 'Greetings of Death', what's not to like about this album? Every song is blazing thrash metal with empowering lyrics and energizing music. That's what I love about Christian metal.
From: MetalSmasher86   (---.ipt.aol.com) Date: October 26, 2004 at 5:49
Almost forgot to mention something. 'If We Faint Not' has got to be one of the most empowering songs I've ever heard! Like DM said, if you don't have this album, get it!
From: mynameis   (---.snbrca.adelphia.net) Date: December 7, 2004 at 19:20
The music is good but the god/jesus message is pretty distracting. Lose the god crap and you have a great cd.
From: Scott   (---.) Date: December 8, 2004 at 8:07
Yes, this CD would be much better if it was filled with cliché lyrics like the majority of speed metal bands. Not! The lyrics are as inspired as the music is. It's not like they are singing happy, happy, joy, joy, Sunday School rhymes. Themes of spiritual warfare run throughout this CD.

Weapons of Our Warfare is Christian metal at it's best. I have not heard anything about Deliverance in some time-- are they still playing? would someone please update me. Thanks.
From: Jay/PetraFan007   (---.ne.client2.attbi.com) Date: February 19, 2005 at 22:33
I agree. Not only are the songs some of the best killer thrash/speed metal of all time, the cover art is also one of the best in all time! Long live D! Mosh it up, baby!

DELIVERENCE FREAKEN ROCKS!!!!!! The vocals are like a mix of pantera and anthrax. Thank god for this band this band. I am 15 but I will be listening to them until I am dead and gone. ROCK ON FOR JESUS!!!!!

This is the first Christian metal tape I bought. As a new believer in Christ I was prepared to turn my back on listening to secular metal, not even knowing at the time that there was a Christ honoring alternative.WOW,was I in for a surprise!'Weapons of Our Warfare' was and still is,a former speed metal freak, and now Jesus freak's answer to the question 'Does God give good things to His kids?' Ditto all the above comments.Excellent guitar work, precision drumming. It's all there bro,the real deal.

I bought this magnificent tape i 1992 when I was first saved an dalmost played it bald ! Just paid too much for it on Ebay and now my Daughter loves it too ! Not just a wonderful Christian thrash album a truly classic metal or guitar album. When George and Jimmy's twin guitars riff together its a total spiritual war machine ! And the lyrics are wonderful too. I love the lyric credit to King David for '23' Highly Recommended.
From: Stender   (---.nas3.eugene1.or.us.da.qwest.net) Date: January 8, 2008 at 22:38
Awesome disc! I have to say one of the better bands to come out of bob beeman's sanctuary church. Deliverance is pure late 80's early 90's thrash with some minor progressive instances on this album. George Ochoa and Jimmy Brown are great shredders. Vocals are a great cross between traditional thrash and almost power metal on some songs. 'Bought by blood' rhythm guitars sound like a slight variation to the breakdown in Slayer's 'Angel of Death'. Favorate tracks: Flesh and blood, Slay the wicked.
