This is a great album.Zion needs tobe given more props and more attention.Maybe 'Thunder from the Mountain' was their only record but it was a really good one.In my opinion every song on the record is a keeper.I totally enjoy rex's vocals, especially on is it a crime.A great glam rock album.

I picked this one up after I heard that Rex Scott (X-Sinner) had been their singer. It reminds me alot of Dokken. I especially like 'Roll The Rock', awesome song!

This is a great project. Even though this is a different band, it sounds like the '3rd project' of X-Sinner. I'd like someone to do a reissue of this one!!!

A hands-down CLASSIC! Zion plays fantastic Arena Rock (like Def Leppard) with some heavier songs thrown in. Like Rage of Angels, this group's only CD is a gem filled with hook after hook and Rex Scott's ear-splitting vocals. Dave Zaffiro produced it, so the sound quality is great, too. If you can find this one, snatch it up; Zion doesn't disappoint. As usual, the band split up after making this masterpiece. Too bad.

Pretty good album. Sometimes the music is too soft for my tastes. Also, the lyrics are sometimes corny. Still this is a fine 80's glam metal album. I want the CD!

At the risk of sounding like a commercial, you can find Zion's 'Thunder From The Mountain' on CD from www.radrockers.com - that's where I got my copy, and if memory serves, I only paid $4 for it. Wotta deal.

No way in heck the music is too soft and the lyrics, too corny. (Read the liners.) Zion plays hard, mature AOR with traditional Metal influences. This blows other so-called 'classics', like Recon and Holy Soldier, outta the water!

Sorry, Cephas, I gotta agree with Michael. The lyrics are quite cheesy on this release. The music is good, but classic?! I don't think so. I think the opposite of you...Holy Soldier's first record blows the doors of this Zion release BY FAR. And Recon is also better. Again, this is a pretty good release; but I think you're pumping it up too much.

Thank you MetalGeek for pointing this one out. I had the song, 'Is it a Crime' on an old K-tel cassette. I've been looking for this CD for a long time. Thanx for the link to Radrockers. I paid $4 for it. I'll try to get back and rate it later. If the other songs are as good as 'Is it a Crime', I won't be dissappointed. Thanx again

One of the best christian hard rock CD. A little of Def Leppard infuence is on several of the songs. This is one CD you should try to get ASAP. Excellent addition to any hard rock collection.

A great hard rock album. It blew me away when it first came out. Much harder than their independent release 'Rock for Eternity'. I'll never get tired of Rex Scott's vocals.

Anyone interested in another Zion release? We just had a 13 yr reunion a couple weeks ago. We recorded a little and caught up on old times. We, of course, are forever friends. We talk about another project, live show etc... What do you think? e-mail me: abozung@yahoo.com

In my opinion, this is a metal classic, a must have for Christian Rock & Metal fans to complete your collection. Songs like Kick In The Gates, Help Me & It's A Crime prove they can hang with the secular artists of their day. Also, David Zaffiro of Bloodgood helped with this CD. You can get this CD for cheap at most online stores so give it a try and pick it up, you won't regret it.

I wrote to these guys back in the day and got a free demo from them. Then when the full album was released I snatched up asap. At the time 'Thunder' came out they had been ministering for about 15 years. It's a shame they didn't produce more tunes, I really liked these guys and they spoke to my heart. Sajodad

Hey everybody! I'm Tommy Bozung's son!. No joke. My dad and Dave Moore (the guitarist for Zion) came out with a Christmas album a little while ago. It's totally awsome.I'm trying to get dad and Dave to send it out. The covers pretty cool for a home-made CD. See ya all later. P.S I'm typing this from school! ZION ROX!!!!!!

Zion was totally cool and were from my home town of Sioux Falls, SD. My brother was into them and saw them at the mall and got me into them after they were pretty much done. Great album!

I remember that show! I was probably in Kindergarten at the time, but my dad took me to see my Uncle (Tom) play. It was at the Western Mall, correct?
