I liked this disc. I think that David is underrated as a writer as well as a singer/player. I especially dug 'I see Red'.

I loved this cd....especially 'Why Me' and 'The Other Side' these two together are heart wrenching...also 'Spirit of the Lord' is awsome..David is a wonderful player/singer/songwriter....I wish he would put out some more stuff or even play with Bloodgood again.

Another great debut CD from a talented Christian guitarist (Former Bloodgood Guitarist). He is the Christian Joe Satriani in my opinion. His guitar work could compete with any of the secular guitarists of the time. He is also a great producer/singer/songwriter as well. I like the songs: I See Red,To The End & Where Are You Now. This is a great CD if you are a guitarist or a fan of Satriani & Vai's guitar styles.

Very good album but not as good as his second album In Scarlet Storm. My favorite songs are I See Red, Diversity and To The End.

I hadn't listened to this album in a while, but once I started listening again I found I really liked it. A lot different from Bloodgood, but that works to his benefit. Very melodic and man what a voice he has! Definitely worth the purchase.

In a word - awesome. Here's another: Essential! I truly believe that Christians make the best guitarists: Phil Keaggy, Lanny Cordola, David Zaffiro, Rex Carroll, Kerry Livgren!... I don't understand how so many of our Christian brothers and sisters insist that all 'heavy' music is to be avoided! These guys [and many others] have God-given talent and use it to honor Him! Nuff said. Anyway, this album is a melodic masterpiece.

Christian metal with exceptional guitar solos! Even non-Christians can find this album to be an acceptable (yet obscure) rock record. It starts off charging hard to grab the listener's attention then mellows out as said listener gets settled. I rate it 7 out of 10
