Ransom was a great band. It would be nice to see them get together again to continue recording music that gives the glory and honor to the Ruler of this world and the one to come, JESUS CHRIST. The opening track on their self-titled album is awesome.

I just got a copy of the old 'Hot Metal 4' video that has a Ransom vid on it (the name of the song escapes me at the moment, sorry!) and I definitely need to find this band's CDs!

The video whose title I couldn't remember last time I posted was 'Lasting Love', and it's a killer song. (PHEW) Now I feel better.

Where did you get a copy of Hot Metal 4? I've been trying to find that video for some time now.

Greg, email me at tmatteson@dejazzd.com and I can sell it to you. I tried to auction it off on eBay but there were no bidders. I'd only want $5 for it. Email me if you're interested.

I got my copy of 'Hot Metal 4' from www.radrockers.com, a great dealer of old & new Christian rock music. I only paid $1.50 for it, too. You can't beat that with a stick!

Too bad 'Sin Killer' and 'Sticks & Stones' weren't on this debut. At any rate, this is ripping, melodic hard rock, thanks to the tasteful playing of guitarist, Tony Ortiz. Driving rhythm section, strong vocals, and a great message! 9/10

a Christian metal classic. Lisa Faxom has a great voice and guitarist Tony Ortiz is a shredder who could hold his own with some of the guitar greats. Ransom's lyrics are mature and grounded in Christianity. Favorite track is the truly metallic 'album opener 'Lasting Love.' Overall a great heavy metal platter. http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/ransom.html

I admit that I am picky when it comes to female singers in metal/hard rock. But Lisa Faxon was my favorite Yes, I put her over Vixen, Lita Ford & Heart. Just listen to Fallen Angel & Lasting Love. Add Tony Ortiz with his Van Halenish guitar & this band could hang with the best the secular world has to offer. So, if you like female fronted hard rock, look no further, get this cd!

Intense is reissuing the self titles debut album. It is remastered with some previously unreleased tracks. I just bought the downloads from Emusic where both the Ransom albums are now available. However the emusic versions do not have the extra tracks. Either way it is awesome to hear this band again. Faxon sounded as good as any female rocker has.

Honestly, after read the previous reviews, I was expecting much more of this album. That doesn't mean it is a bad one. But, in my opinion, not as great as other albums that I've heard of this gender. I like more their second effort than this one. Despite all of that, there are a couple of very good songs here: 'Lasting Love', 'Tonight', 'Fallen Angel' and two songs that comes in the remastered version 'Sin Killer' and 'Sticks & Stones'.
