This is a great album. The vocals Sound like Paul Stanly from KISS and the music the sound of the mid to late 80's kiss.

If you like the late 80's metal sound, AVOID THIS RECORD. There are two, maybe three, songs that fit that mold, but the rest are just 80's music, not that good melodic metal. A couple of these songs even have sax on them, for Pete's sake! A half-decent debut, but their next three records were MUCH MUCH better.

This album was 'Breakaway' and 'Overdrive'.'Breakaway' had to be one of the better songs in christian music in the 80's.Unfortunatly there are not any other good songs.

Hmm..I guess I have a little different perspective on this one. I love this album. I think this was a great debut album for these guys, however, I would also agree that Idle Cure just got better with each subsequent release. Breakaway is their 'signature' song, but Holy Mountain from 'Inside Out' should be.

To me these guys sounded like a copy of Bon Jovi. I had this tape...and I can honestly say I don't miss it. It wasn't that great. Breakaway was about the only good song. This was brought to you by the letter G

I view this project as a prototype 1st release by an extraordinary band just finding their boundaries...I mean they explored every aspect of their musical range. Breakaway was a huge Christian rock hit, but then so was Take It on the AC charts. Come Back To Me is pop-rock, and Steal Away is a tricked out, sequenced, referendum on drug use. They were just throwing it all up against the wall to see what stuck. Then they proceeded to get better with each release. That's great music making. LUV EM!
