The music of the Galactic Cowboys is very hard to describe. Very Heavy at times and always great vocal harmonies. Its like Supertramp meets Metallica with a little Beetles- Yes, some vocals actually sound like the Beetles. The band has been with metal blade records until they broke up in 2001, shortly after the release of thier last album. Here are the albums in order of release: (1991) Galactic Cowboys, (1993) Space In Your Face, (1996) Machine Fish & Feel The Rage EP, (1997) The Horse That Bud

Continued from above: (1997) The Horse That Bud Bought, (1998) At The End Of The Day, (2000) Let It Go. Machine Fish is thier heaviest. Space in your face was probally the most popular which had radio play and music videos. You may remember the songs, If I Were A Killer, and You Make Me Smile. Both were from the second album. Feel the Rage is a LIVE EP and is excellent. It features songs from Machine Fish and 2 covers. At The End Of The Day is another favorite album. Very catchy riffs/melodies.

If you use imesh, which is an online file sharing program, you can download Galactic Cowboys music. Also visit the web site at GalacticCowboys.Com, although they are no longer a band the site is still maintained by Ben Huggins, the lead vocalist. Furthurmore, since the split bassist Monty Colvin has a new band called, CRUNCHY. I have not heard them yet but am looking forward to it. I know I wrote alot, but trust me these guys rock. Poor promoting on behalf of Metal Blade lead to thier demise.

They sort of sound like King's X. That was my first thought when I heard them the first time. I was given the CD by my Station Manager in college, so I played it on my own show. They really are good, though this is the only album I have of theirs, just haven't bothered to look for others. Good though, and worth listening to.
