I think they have a bit of a Boston feel to them on some of there tracks

3/10?? Nonsense! This is a fine album that starts off a bit hesitantly with the first 3 tracks, but then really picks up and gives us some genuine quality to enjoy. Moderately cheesy in places [i.e 'Pulling the Wool'], but then that's what we all like, eh? Not absolutely essential, but definitely better than it's current rating so it's getting a '10' from me! Highlight for me is the fabulous 'slow-burner' 'I Know You're There'. I'm a complete sucker for songs like this...

It's amazing that people are listening to our stuff still. I just did a google search on my name and found this. I'm Bob Vinsick from Contender and really wish we never broke up. I miss the Contender days. Thanks for all your great comments. rjv11@yahoo.com.

Contender rules and I wish they would do a reunion. I still know all the lyrics and listen to the cd almost daily. Paul and Steve are a guitar duo that has yet to be match even in mainstream music. Good memories and great riffs.
