What a great piece of 80's melodic rock!

This is one of the sweetest christian rock albums i have ever heard. the thing i have always loved about petra is that they are as bold with their message, as they are with their music. I also love the fact that these guys were trailblazers in the christian music world. if it wasnt for bands like petra, rez band, and groups like that, groups like POD, blind side would not be where they are today inthe main stream eye. I love this means war, i love every song on it, on the FOX rating scale 10!!!!

This is probably my favorite Petra record. The songwriting here was just unbelievable, regardless of whether you like the music or not. Lyrics like 'He Came, He Saw, He Conquered', and 'Get On Your Knees (And Fight Like A Man)' are classic. But the best of this album is in the center. Keneniah and You Are My Rock are two of my all-time favorite Petra songs, and they're back to back! The album was classic 80's pop-hard-rock. The ballads now sound very dated, but the rock here is top notch.

I heard this the other day and it sounds good. I am not into Christian music but quite like this. I haven't heard anything like it. I have only been exposed to Stryper and find that their ballads are too syrupy. Do you know many other non-Christians who enjoy this? I think there should be.

We loved the song Kenaniah so much that we named our son after him. Unfortunately when you have just shout out a 9 pound kid.....you forget the spelling....so we spelled it Keneniah and call him Kena for short....very unique and he seems to love the uniqueness. thanx Tonya
